What this site collects
A site that publishes a page about consent banners should be able to describe its own data handling in a couple of hundred words. Here it is.

What we collect
Nothing you have not handed over. There is no advertising network here, no behavioural tracking, no session recording and no cross-site profiling.
If you subscribe to the recheck notice, we hold the email address you gave us for the purpose of sending you that notice. It is not sold, not shared and not used for anything else. Every message carries an unsubscribe, and replying to ask us to remove you works just as well.
If you email the bench, we hold that correspondence for as long as it is useful to hold it.
Analytics
If this site runs analytics, it runs a measurement tool that does not store information on your device and does not build a profile of you across sites. That choice is the reason there is no consent banner here: the obligation under the ePrivacy Directive is triggered by storing or accessing information on your device, and a tool that does neither does not trigger it.
We think that is the better answer for a small publication, and we say so on the cookie consent page rather than only practising it quietly.
Partner links
A few links here travel through a /go/ address on this domain before arriving at a platform. Subscribe afterwards and that platform may pay the bench. Those addresses are declared as sponsored to search engines and excluded in the robots file, and the whole arrangement is laid out in the affiliate disclosure.
The redirect is a redirect. It is not a profile.
Fonts and third parties
This site's typefaces are served from this domain rather than fetched from a font host while you read, so loading a page here does not hand your address to a third party you did not choose to visit.
There are no embedded videos, no social widgets, no comment system and no chat bubble.
Your rights, briefly
Depending on where you live you may have rights to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Given the list above the answer is usually short. Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, the re-measured date at the foot of this page moves with it.
The recheck notice
When a platform quietly changes what it gives you
Builders move accessibility features without a changelog: a theme restyles its focus ring, a wizard learns a check, a field migrates to another panel. The recheck list is meant to carry one short note whenever a page here has to be corrected. It is not switched on yet, so this form keeps nothing — until it is, the re-measured date at the foot of each page is the record.
